Started him off with the goonies, Indiana jones and movies similar to those then worked our way to 2012, San Andreas fault and other movies like these. Over the past couple of years, I have been gradually getting him used to suspenseful movies. So you have a background of where I'm coming from, I only show my son Disney and Pixar movies 80 percent of the time. I thought people on here had more common sense. Im glad I didn't listen to the reviews on here. If you were ok with that then you will be fine. The second movie (scorch trials) was worse then this movie because cranks were just introduced. There is a part where a friend gets stabbed but its more like a "Aw man I can't believe he's going to die its so sad" stab and less of a " OMG HE GOT STABBED THEIRS BLOOD EVERYWHERE!" My son almost missed out on this movie because of people commenting on here saying its really scary. The leader of the rebellion group does have an ugly face( he's the guy with a hoodie) but after awhile you get used to it. Yes it does show one kiss but its not all romantic, its more like a "I'm going to die, sorry I betrayed you kiss." Yes it does show someone turn into a crank, but it is a gradual transition. He actually thought it was suspenseful and very sad. He didn't think this movie was scary at all. I probably won't show him scary movies until 13 or 14 years old. I have yet to show my son any type of scary movies like Chucky, saw, or anything like that. Honestly 80 percent of the time we watch Disney or Pixar movies. Which Side of History?
